That’s up significantly from 2020. Australia has more billionaires per capita than every G7 country except the United States. Mike Cannon-Brookes, who’s worth $23.6 billion, is Australia’s richest person. He and his business partner Scott Farquhar founded software company Atlassian, and the venture has proven to be incredibly lucrative as Atlassian boasts NASA, Tesla, and SpaceX as customers. Gina Rinehart is Australia’s 4th richest person with a net worth of $22.3 billion. She runs Hancock Prospecting, which has seen tremendous growth shipping iron ore to China. Australia’s billionaires own farmland, vineyards, yachts, private jets, and much more. Clive Palmer is Australia’s most eccentric billionaire. He spends his fortune on bizarre projects like the Titanic II. The $500 million life-size replica of the Titanic is expected to be in the water soon. He’s also spending $72 million on a massive renovation at Palmer Coolum Resort. Palmer’s luxurious resort is home to a world-class golf course and a life-size model of a T-Rex. Palmer even built a real-life Jurassic Park that’s filled with robotic dinosaurs. Australia is home to many affluent neighborhoods like Point Piper and the Sovereign Islands. We’re going to show you the most expensive homes in these areas. Are you ready to see what life is like for Australia’s billionaires? Keep watching to find out more.
