Another day, another MASSIVE purchase from Jeff Bezos. Even though he suffered through a very public divorce, an extortion scandal with the National Enquirer, stepping down as the CEO of Amazon and the humiliation of only being the second richest person in the world thanks to Elon Musk, he’s still making headlines for his famous purchases. This year has already seen him making some of the biggest deals in real estate history. He has made huge purchases in New York City, Washington D.C., and Beverly Hills already. Some of them are the biggest in history. He’s also dropped incredible amounts of money on things like a trend-setting trip to space, a gigantic yacht that puts even the one from The Wolf of Wall Street to shame and perhaps the most ridiculously expensive clock to ever tick. Well you can now add to this purchase a giant estate in Maui. He and his girlfriend made the biggest purchase in Maui history on a secretive piece of land that you practically require a helicopter to get a good look at. In order to secure this deal, he had to drop massive amounts of money behind the scenes to grease the wheels in the competitive Hawaiian housing market. Seriously, every celebrity from Mark Zuckerberg, to Oprah, to the Obamas and even Beyonce and Jay-Z owns property on one of the islands. It’s more fashionable than ever to have a piece of beachfront property…and that means that the prices are through the roof.
