England’s chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty is questioned by MPs about the spread of the Omicron variant.
The UK Health Security Agency’s Dr Susan Hopkins is also appearing before the Health and Social Care Committee.
Professor Whitty, has warned of worse to come as cases of people with the Omicron strain continue to rise at an ‘absolutely phenomenal pace’ across the country.
