Two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were among eight people killed following a crowd surge during a performance by rapper Travis Scott.
The mayor told a news conference there were “a lot of unanswered questions” about the cause of the tragedy, which took place at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas.
However police confirmed an incident at the event where a security officer was left unconscious after apparently being injected in the neck by a concert-goer.
