Rub This Under Your Arms To Get Rid Of Bad Odors All Day Long

Are you a fan of natural products? Then you’ve probably heard of natural deodorants, right?

But did you know that you can make your own deodorant at home with natural products?

Making your own natural deodorant is a great alternative for sustainable consumption. Not only is it cheaper, but you’ll also avoid the chemical products found in most industrially produced deodorants.

Natural deodorants can be just as effective as their industrially manufactured versions if their ingredients have the same properties to inhibit odor and fight bacteria.

The biggest problem with supermarket or drugstore deodorants is that they contain substances such as propylene glycol, parabens, fragrances, aluminum, and alcohol that are FDA approved but still have negative effects on our health. Each of these substances has a specific function and also its contraindications.

So let’s see how to make a homemade deodorant that contains only bactericidal and fungicidal ingredients and smells pleasant.

In this recipe we use milk of magnesia and essential oils (or organic coconut oil).

Milk of magnesia is alkaline and helps fight the acidity of sweat. It interrupts the proliferation of bacteria that cause bad odor in the armpits.

This ingredient has deodorizing properties, helps reduce oiliness and acidity of the skin and restores its luster.

In addition to its bactericidal action, essential for eliminating bad odors, this deodorant also moisturizes your skin.

Ingredients:
1.7 oz. Milk of Magnesia
1.7 oz. water;
20 drops of your favorite essential oil (popular combinations are: Lavender, Rosemary, Rose and sandawoold or Organic Coconut Oil);
1 roll-on bottle, empty;

How to do it?

Put all the ingredients in the empty roll-on bottle, mix it and you’re done!

The mixture is more liquid than most conventional deodorants, but it dries quickly on the skin.

You can also use just milk of magnesia as a natural deodorant by applying some of the product directly to your underarms. However, you may be left with white spots or small bits of powder on your skin after it dries.

Now you can use your natural deodorant!

But beware: never use this deodorant right after shaving your underarms, as it’ll clog pores and follicles, which can lead to folliculitis, a skin infection caused by bacteria or fungus. Wait a day or two before using it.
