Health minister Edward Argar had the unenviable task of doing the media rounds after it emerged a “bring your own booze” party was held in the Number 10 garden during the first lockdown in May 2020.
Speaking to Sky’s Kay Burley, Mr Argar said it is “absolutely right” that top civil servant Sue Gray is “independently looking into” allegations.
The health minister said he did not attend any parties himself and instead spent that May “glued to my Zoom screen”.
