Former Secretary of State under Margaret Thatcher, David Mellor, says that the government is in a shambles of the Owen Paterson sleaze affair.
Mr Mellor said that Paterson’s lack of contrition and ‘I would do it all again’ comments where were the incident went ‘haplessly wrong’.
He added that the reported prospect of Paterson being appointed to House of Lords shows that Mr Johnson does not respect rules.
