‘Bionic’ teacher who lost all her limbs to sepsis returns to school

A primary school teacher who lost all four limbs to sepsis has returned to the classroom having been fitted with bionic arms.

Kath Tregenna fell critically ill a few years ago after suffering a fever, and in order to save her life doctors had no choice but to perform a quadruple amputation.

She spoke to Sky’s Kay Burley about the enthusiastic welcome back she’s had from children at school.
