What’s more, even 37% of Democrats concurred that the DOJ’s actions appeared to be hypocritical and reminiscent of a banana republic. Critics argue that the apparent selective prosecution sets a dangerous precedent and smacks of a dictatorship where the rule of law is wielded as a political tool. The American majority is taking notice and calling for the government to wield its power responsibly.
