Bureaucrats at the “CTFC” ordered election betting site PredictIt to shut down. Now Predictit is fighting for its life in court.
“It was kind of heartbreaking,” says Brandi Travis, who helped start PredictIt. The site’s been live for 8 years. Then the government sent a shutdown notice out of the blue.
I don’t understand why regulators would end US election betting. Traders like it. Reporters like it. The betting market odds have been the most accurate predictor of what will happen in the future.
