The Deputy Prime Minister has told Sky News he cannot make “hard, fast guarantees” that further restrictions will not be announced before Christmas.
Meanwhile, Dominic Raab has defended a photo in The Guardian, appearing to show an alleged gathering in Downing Street in May 2020 – when large social gatherings were banned at the time.
Downing Street says it didn’t break the rules as it was a “business meeting”.
