Thomas Hughes, 29, has been found guilty of manslaughter, while his partner Emma Tustin, 32, was convicted of murder after the death of the six-year-old boy.
The judge said the couple’s campaign of cruel abuse against the defenceless youngster had been ‘without doubt one of the most distressing and disturbing cases I have had to deal with’.
