Hundreds of thousands of people are being pushed towards famine in Madagascar after the worst drought for 40 years continues.
The once mighty Mananara river has now been reduced to a sandy scar on the landscape, with people reduced to digging down for any sign of water.
The United Nations says that Madagascar is one of the first countries in the world to be on the brink of famine from climate change.
