Sky News has witnessed dozens of migrants leaving France for the UK – as French police looked on.
Sky News filmed the migrants carrying a boat along the beach and launching it into the English Channel.
The French authorities insist they are taking steps to stop boats crossing the Channel, including a number of operations through the night.
