The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he welcomed the review into the failings of the police following the kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a serving officer.
He said the police force now needed to change – including making misogyny a hate crime. Mr Khan said that confidence in police across the country, not only in London, now needed to be rebuilt.
